Common questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Your Data → Delete Account, enter your password and confirm. Your profile, sightings, photos and badges are erased straight away, and you’ll get an email confirming it. This can’t be undone, so use Settings → Your Data → Download My Data first if you want a copy.
I forgot my password
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password? and enter your email address. You’ll receive a 6-digit code that works for 15 minutes. Enter it in the app with your new password. For your security, this signs you out on all your devices.
I didn’t get the verification email
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it isn’t there, tap Resend Email on the “Check your inbox” screen. The link in the email works for 24 hours.
Can other people see my sightings?
No. Your sightings, notes and photos are visible only to you. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored and where.
Why does Wingmark ask for my location?
Only to suggest where a sighting happened when you add one, or to show where you are on the map. If you’d rather not share it, choose Don’t Allow and place your sightings on the map by hand. You can change this later in the iOS Settings app under Wingmark → Location.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Go to Settings → Your Data → Download My Data. The app creates a file with everything stored about you, which you can save or share.
I lost my phone. How do I protect my account?
Sign in on another device and go to Settings → Account → Log Out of All Devices. Every session ends immediately, including the one on the lost phone. Changing your password does the same.
How do I change the language?
In Settings, choose Language and pick System, English or Türkçe.
Which devices does Wingmark work on?
Wingmark is an iPhone app and needs iOS 26.5 or later.
